Individual Therapy

deep-rooted and lasting transformation

Individual therapy offers a private, one-on-one setting where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, validating, empathetic setting.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can support you in getting to a place where you feel more at ease and resilient.

How I help

  • Shame, overwhelm, relationships, self-doubt, people-pleasing, perfectionism, avoidance and procrastination…these are just some of the things that go along with ADHD. Especially if you are someone who was diagnosed later in life.

Together we’ll work to reduce stress, gain clarity about what's most important, and make lasting changes so that can live life to the fullest. I use an integrative, strengths-based approach to help clients harness their gifts and talents in order to thrive and flourish in their life

I work with brilliant, complex humans navigating ADHD, anxiety, and the pressure to hold it all together.

No shame. No fixing. Just honest tools, co-created care, and space to grow on your own terms.

ADHD affects so much more than just organization or time management—it can take a serious toll on your mental health, too. Many adults with ADHD also experience anxiety, depression, or other mental health struggles.

Why? Because living with ADHD is tough. Constantly feeling behind, overwhelmed, or misunderstood can lead to frustration, low self-esteem, and even burnout. Therapy can play a huge role here by helping you process those emotions, challenge unhelpful beliefs about yourself, and build self-compassion.

This is the healing side of therapy. It’s about addressing the emotional weight ADHD has placed on your life so you can start to feel lighter, more confident, and more in control.

  • You’re smart, driven, and capable, but yet you doubt and question yourself constantly. Maybe you have noticed it is getting in the way of your passions, goals, or opportunities. Perhaps you are struggling with balancing between the different roles in your personal life and your professional aspirations. Whatever it is, let’s work on it together.

One area of special interest is helping women find their inner strength, their voice and their confidence. My job is to help smart, high achievers like you get out of your own way, while helping you build skills to let go of perfectionism, communicate confidently, build self-esteem and commit to a realistic work/life balance. We will work together to create a individualized plan that helps you get to where you want to go.

  • Therapy for anxiety helps you learn how to manage and control the worry. You’ll learn how to respond to your anxious thoughts in more helpful ways so you can live life with less stress and more calm.

You will get the practical tools you need to cope and improve the overall quality of your life

  • One area of special interest is helping teen girls with ADHD find their inner strength, their voice and their confidence. Girls with ADHD are bright, ambitious, big-hearted, complex humans who are often misunderstood, anxious, and worried. They may seem great on the surface but no one sees how hard they work to make others happy, to look pulled together, and mask their insecurities. The sooner they can begin to trust in themselves, to be kind to themselves, and to accept and love who they are, the better off they’ll be.

My job is to help girls with ADHD get out of your own way, while helping to build skills to let go of perfectionism, increase self-awareness and emotional intelligence, communicate effectively, build self-esteem and commit to realistic goals. We will work together to create a individualized plan that helps her get to where she wants to go.

  • Do you feel stuck, repeating the same patterns over and over? Is pain from the past still showing up today?

I use evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to identify what’s keeping you stuck.

EMDR therapy is a highly effective and based in neuroscience. It gets to the root of the problem and goes further than traditional talk therapy. More about EMDR below.

More about EMDR

  • EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

EMDR therapy is an integrative, comprehensive treatment approach that addresses the physiological storage of our memories and how it informs our experiences.

EMDR helps people to recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives.  EMDR suggests that when a person is involved in a traumatic event, they may feel overwhelmed and their brain may be unable to fully process what is going on. The memory of the event can seem to become “stuck” so that it remains very intense and vivid. The person can then re-experience the event via all their senses that were triggered and the full force of the distress they felt whenever the memory comes to mind.

EMDR aims to help the brain “unstick” and reprocess the memory properly so that it is no longer so intense. It also helps to integrate the memory. This allows the person to experience less emotional impact from the memory, so that they can think about the event without experiencing such strong feelings.

When we combine eye movements with effective nervous system regulation strategies, we help your brain learn new ways of looking at old memories, without getting emotionally flooded. Basically, we help your brain & body get on the same page and recognize that you are not reliving a traumatic moment every time you think about that memory.

It’s highly effective and efficient, yet gentle and customized to your needs

  • Absolutely! I work with lots of clients who generally had a good childhood and haven’t had a distinct traumatic event in their lives. EMDR Therapy, while well-known for trauma treatment, is an effective therapy for many issues, including depression and anxiety.

Sometimes, our nervous system is impacted by a collection of several smaller upsetting or distressing experiences; EMDR Therapy can help you heal from these experiences as well.

  • There are a lot of variables that will determine how long therapy will last, but most clients will start noticing progress pretty quickly. With my approach to therapy, I check in with my clients on their goals frequently to make sure we're on the right track.

Don’t want to wait a week between each session? I also offer EMDR Intensives – a fast-track version of EMDR that helps you get the benefits of a few months’ worth of EMDR over the course of a few days or an extended session.

Intensives are great for people with busy schedules who can’t fit in weekly or even bi-weekly therapy appointments.

Intensives are also good for people who feel that the typical 50-minute therapy session isn’t long enough to fit in everything they want to work on. Longer, extended sessions can eliminate the feeling of stopping when you’re just getting started and having to start back up again next week.

We will work together to create a customized plan that fits with your schedule and needs.
